Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 large onion sliced - I used 2 small onions
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 14 oz beef broth
- 1½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 6 oz sour cream
- 8 oz egg noodles, cooked according to directions
Instructions
- Heat oil and butter in a large skillet.
- Season meat with the salt, pepper and seasoned salt and cook with the onion and garlic in the butter/oil mixture until the meat is browned and caramelized.
- Remove meat and veggies from pan and add flour to the remaining fat in the pan – stir to combine.
- Whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and stir until flour mixture is incorporated.
- Add mushroom and the cooked beef and onions back into the sauce.
- Cover and simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream before serving.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles.
